The images in more detail
At all parking areas and entrances, PERI received the crowds of visitors with banners and warm greetings of welcome. Also present everywhere was the face of PERI at this year´s bauma – a supervisor of the company who invited the guests to visit the stand.
The PERI exhibition tent featured a new architecture and a particularly attractive design. Bright colours and accents in the typical PERI red and yellow also contributed to the pleasant atmosphere as did the friendly welcome the guests received at the tent entrances.
The exhibition itself also followed a somewhat different yet still visitor-friendly concept: on a large market place in the centre of the stand, constant demonstrations took place of assembly and dismantling procedures of wall and slab formwork as well as scaffolding systems. At the same time, PERI presented its new innovations along with further developments that have been specifically designed to usefully complement the application of existing systems. Visitors also expressed great interest in the demonstrations that took place on the adjacent smaller areas; in particular, the MAXIMO panel formwork, the new MDS shoring tower and the PERI UP Rosett Flex modular scaffolding attracted huge crowds. Thanks to the clearly structured division of the product groups (wall formwork, slab formwork, scaffolding technology, civil engineering), visitors could easily orientate themselves accordingly.
In addition to the "hands-on" products, the opportunity for individual discussions particularly regarding the wide range of services from PERI met with great interest from the visitors. Furthermore, new digital PERI tools for the use with mobile devices were also presented which offered a first glimpse of a future "helper" with added value for daily operations with formwork and scaffolding.
A completely successful appearance in all respects
The bauma is and remains the leading trade fair for PERI and determines the trends in the industry every three years - not only for product innovations but also for the overall image of the company. Naturally, there were also numerous new developments on display for the visitors in 2013.
On time to coincide with the start of the fair, the new website of the PERI Group was launched. It stands out through its fresh design and optimized user interface. The clearly structured, generously-dimensioned and bright appearance ensures fast orientation; the revised content for improved information quality. Thanks to the flat and condensed content structure along with easy navigation, specific information can be found extremely quickly. Furthermore, new web technologies and applications have been integrated so that information is always presented in an attractive and innovative way - without any long loading and waiting times.
As usual, PERI also presented the new handbook which has proven itself for many years as the premier reference work in the industry. The showcasing of almost all PERI systems and products with the most important features and functionalities provides valuable information regarding the selection of the optimal system equipment; the explanation of the PERI range of services clearly shows the benefits for the entire construction process. The presentation of a cross-section of international projects featuring various types of structures and construction methods also serves as a source of ideas for implementation solutions. In addition to the printed version in eleven languages, the handbook is now available as an app.
A complete success across the board
Not only was the number of visitors outstanding. Also the high quality of visitors and the discussions held, the extremely positive feedback on the exhibited PERI systems and their functionalities, the presentation of the services along with the overall impression of the PERI hall really convinced everyone visiting the stand. This was accompanied by many sales successes and enquiries for upcoming projects around the world as well as many new contacts and prospective customers from over 70 countries.
The offer to combine a visit to the fair with a trip to the PERI plant in Weissenhorn was also very well received: around 400 guests took the opportunity to take a closer look at the production facilities and exhibition halls at the company´s headquarters in order to become better acquainted with the PERI range of services.
"bauma 2013 was a huge success for us; the show is and remains the leading trade fair for our company" - summarized managing director, Alexander Schwörer. At the same time, bauma 2013 served to provide the occasion for the effective exchange of information within PERI´s international sales force. Over 300 PERI employees from around the world were present and they now take this information and innovations with them directly into the PERI subsidiaries so that all interested parties and applications are provided with the best possible support. During the coming months, PERI now expects numerous follow-up discussions and closer contacts that in turn will further positively influence the company's success in the long-term. And one thing is absolutely certain: PERI will be back again at bauma 2016 from 11th to 17th April 2016.
